Vincent had stopped at the diner he had used to work at it was still up and running. He looked inside from a window and he saw his old friend, and the owner, Richard. Vincent walked up to the door and held it open for Emily. He might be a jerk to some people, but he did have manners. And besides the people he was an ass to did him wrong in the past.
"Well here we are, I'm extremely glad that this place is still open. It has been 4 years since I have been here. I just hope they just remember me." He said smiling at her. Vincent had thought that she was pretty fun to be around. He had started to like her as well. Vincent looked up at the menu window. In big bold letter it said Morning Special: Pancakes, as always a smiley face had been placed next to it.

The walk wasn’t very long, and it seemed the place was still open. Emily knew she’d like it, because it was a diner and all diners were good in her book. They were calm and casual; you didn’t feel like you had to impress someone. “Thank you,” she said as she walked through the door Vincent was holding open for her. Even though they weren’t strangers, she still was polite. Some people weren’t polite to their friends, and the girl didn’t understand that. But it wasn’t her, so whatever.
“I’m sure they’ll remember you. Unless you didn’t talk much or something. Then it’d be difficult.” Emily was pretty sure they’d remember him though. If he really expected them to remember him, they probably would. He seemed like the kind of person that you would remember, just because he was nice and probably a good friend. If you hung out at a place enough, you were bound to make friends.

"Not at all, I was very social. Unless of course you wronged me in some way."Vincent said as he walked in behind her. He smiled as Richard turned his face to look at Vincent. The old man, had just stared at Vincent and tow words had escaped from his mouth. "Holy... Shit.."Vincent just grinned. He was used to getting these type of greetings. "Holy shit? Thats all I get. I was expecting something a little bit more like, Where the fuck have you been you little bastard." Vincent said as he started to laugh. Richard began laughing as well as he started to walk over to him. "Yeah well, You see Vince, since you went out on tour and everything it has been quiet in this place."
Vincent frowned. "Ah well, I was your best costumer." Vincent said. Richard nodded and smiled and looked at Emily. "Emily this is Richard, a friend of mine from when i used to live here.." Vincent said. "Nice to meet you." The old man said extending his hand.

Emily laughed. She knew what that was like. “I was the same way. Well, even if someone wronged me, I spoke to them. It wasn’t very pretty after I was through though.” She had sent kids to the emergency room, there was no doubt about that. Not that she stuck around long enough to see them leave. As soon as she heard the cops were called, she got out of there. Only one time did she get caught, and it was her last. She watched as the two noticed each other, and it made her smile. She didn’t know why, but it always made her smile when people ran into their good friends they hadn’t seen in a while. And with being that way, it made her smile even more when it was her seeing someone.
Emily smiled warmly at the man once she was introduced. “Nice to meet you too,” she said, shaking his hand. If Emily had learned anything, it was that people respected you more if you were nice. Well, not really learned recently, but it had clicked over the past few years. It had never really occurred to her before, and she wouldn’t have even cared if it did.

Vincent smiled as a costumer had called Richard. Richard had excused himself. "Lets go sit somewhere." Vinceent said as he started to walk towards a booth in the corner of the diner. He looked around at all the familar faces in the diner. And shook his head when he saw one guy who made his life hell threw highschool.
Richard slid into the booth and didn't even bother looking at the menu that had been placed in the center of the table. "I don't know why, but, I'm getting this weird feeling in here. I can't shake it off but, there are a lot of people staring at us, well besides Richard I think he is just glad to see me alive. I mean I know most of em on a accquiantice level. But, I also know some of them from highschool." Vincent said to Emily.
Richard looked at Vincent. "Vince I'm guessing you want pancakes?' Vincent just grinned, and Richard just scribbled in the notepad he had in his hand. "And for you Miss Emily?" He asked

"Okay," Emily said, nodding as she spoke. They walked over to a booth in the corner, and she felt a few people looking at her. Odds were it was because of her hair. After all, it was pink. Lots of people just ignored it, but a lot of people had to gawk. It didn't bother her though. They'd probably look at her even if she didn't have pink hair. Another odd thing about her? Her septum ring. Emily knew a lot of people didn't like them, but she did. People were going to be looking at you for one reason or another always, so you just had to deal with it.
Emily slid into the booth as well, her eyes casually scanning the diner. It was habit to look around wherever she was mainly to get used to the place. She looked back to Vincent when he spoke, and she grinned softly. "People like to stare and make others feel awkward. It happens to me all the time." Half of the time she brought it on herself. Emily and her friends would pull pranks on people then make scenes just for the fun of it. When it happened it was usually at the mall or somewhere else crowded, so people would stare and be confused as to what was going on.
Richard walked back over to the table, and Emily sat there quietly while he spoke to Vincent. Once his attention was turned to her and he spoke, the girl shook her head softly. "Oh, nothing, thanks." She smiled politely, not wanting to seem rude or anything.

Richard nodded and walked away. Vincent then looked towards Emily. "I get stared at a lot, but sometimes I like to live a normal life. Like right now." Vincent said as a bell boy came over with two glasses of water. Vincent just nodded in appreciation. "After this tour, and after I get my revenge on the roadies, and the damned bus driver for leaving me at that gas station in the middle of the desert, I wanna start living a normal life. But you know I still have a dedication to the band. I'll do a few other tours and what not." He said putting his head on his forehead. He hated being starred at. It made him feel. Un-normal.
"Sorry I tend to rant about things I don't like." Vincent sitting back in the seat. Richard had came over carring a small plate of 2 pancakes. No butter, but smothered in syrup. "Thanks Richard." Vincent said facing Emily. "Sure you don't want anything?" He asked her, feeling very awkward, eating in front of her.
